Hot Cross French Bun Toast!

This is another creation based on a recipe from the Healthy Choices App! It's technically for breakfast but I just made it for pudding and it was delicious. This recipe serves four.

Ingredients
4 hot cross buns
1 egg
150ml milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp oil
2 bananas
20 strawberries
Method
1. Cut the hot cross buns in half. 
2. In a large shallow dish, mix the egg, milk and vanilla extract. Add the buns and leave from for 2-3 minutes, turning them over once so that each side is soaked thoroughly. 
3. Heat a large frying pan and add the oil. Add the soaked bread and cook gently for  1-2 minutes until set and golden brown. Turn each piece and cook on the other side. 
4. Share the buns between four plates. Slice the bananas and strawberries and sprinkle on top. 

























This is a lovely, fruity and delicious breakfast/pudding/meal! Enjoy! X Bo
